What else you can do now that you’ve made an Email Account

Now that you have made an Email Account, we will now learn how to make a Skype account. 

This is another really good tool that can be used to keep in touch with your family and friends, but you can actually see the person you are talking to – so you can have a more face-to-face talk with them.

 

What is Skype?

The following instructions, and video, will tell you everything you need to know about how to make a Skype account.

 

Why use Skype?

This is a calling service, a bit like using the phone, that allows you to call your family and friends over the internet. It allows you to not only talk to someone, but to actually see them while you’re talking to them – using you tablets camera.

The following instructions, and video, will tell you everything you need to know about how to make a Skype account.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Click the “Create account” button, at the bottom of the page
  2. Click the “Use your email address instead” button, in the middle of the page. Click the blue, “Next” button on screen.
  3. Enter your email address, that we made in the previous ‘How to make an Email Account Video. Think of, and enter, a password (a secure word, that you will have to enter whenever you want to use Skype). Click the blue, “Next” button on screen.
  4. Enter your First and Last Names, in the 2 areas on screenClick the blue, “Next” button on screen.
  5. A code will now be sent to you, through the email account that we made in the previous video. When you receive that code, enter it in the box on screen. Click the blue, “Next” button on screen.
  6. Click OK on the message on screen.

           Your Skype Account is now created. 

Why you should use Skype

It is good to keep in touch with your family and friends by sending them messages, like emails or using Facebook, but sometimes its better to see people’s faces – who you couldn’t normally see.

This allows to you see who you’re talking to, making it feel like they’re there with you, something which might not be possible in-person.
